CorSport: Four positive Coronavirus tests at Milan as training resumes

By Isak Möller -

After a series of tests at La Madonnina clinic, the AC Milan players returned to individual training at Milanello yesterday afternoon. However, for four of the members, there have been some complications.

According to today’s edition of Corriere Dello Sport (via MilanNews.it), there were four positive Coronavirus tests at Milan, though it remains to be seen how many of them are players and staff members. However, this hasn’t been confirmed yet.

In addition to the Rossoneri, Fiorentina had six positive tests (three players and three staff members) while Sampdoria had a total of four. Those infected will, of course, have to go back into quarantine to avoid further spread.

Depending on when the season will resume, if it will resume, it remains to be seen if the infected players will have time to recover from the virus and then get ready for the season physically. That’s a question for another day, though.
