Gennaro Gattuso is ready to take over as AC Milan’s head coach once again if Marco Giampaolo is sacked, a report claims.
The Rossoneri have lost four of their first six Serie A fixtures to start the campaign for only the third time in the club’s history, and the first time in over 80 years.
The pressure is piling on head coach Marco Giampaolo, with plenty of suggestions in the media that another comfortable defeat this weekend could spell the end for him just seven games in.
Gattuso is one of those who has been linked with a potential vacancy, having managed Milan for 61 Serie A games, winning 30 and losing just 12.
Il Corriere della Sera reported on Friday though that Gattuso would only arrive if two of Paolo Maldini, Zvonomir Boban, Ricky Massara and Ivan Gazidis were fired.
However il Corriere della Sport have gone big in their Saturday edition (via Calciomercato.com) with the headline “Twist, there’s the ghost of Rino”.
According to the newspaper, Gattuso is ready to return to Milan, but everything depends on the will of Paolo Maldini.
