Ruben Amorim has reportedly asked AC Milan to sign the PSG striker Goncalo Ramos this summer, and it’s a move that could be made possible by Santiago Gimenez.

One of Milan’s biggest issues in the 2025-26 season was undoubtedly the striker position. Rafael Leao and Christian Pulisic both struggled there, playing out of their natural positions, while Christopher Nkunku and Gimenez didn’t score enough.

As such, one of the main requests from the new head coach Amorim is to sign a striker who can guarantee goals. The money is usually a big hurdle when signing a striker, but it seems a departure could make it possible.

Gimenez out, Ramos in?

According to Corriere dello Sport this morning (via MilanNews), Gimenez is being linked with a move to Orlando, who could table an offer of around €30m for Milan. This could be just what the Rossoneri need to make a move for Ramos, who has been requested by Amorim.

Daniele Longo also reported about Orlando’s interest earlier today, so there definitely seems to be something there. Ramos, meanwhile, has been on the Rossoneri’s list for several years but Amorim’s arrival has inevitably fueled the interest amid the Portuguese connection.

Gimenez’s departure could be the key for the whole operation, as the newspaper concludes.

  1. Ramos is a good, hard working player. Issue is high wages and PSG wont sell him cheaply. If we convince him to join after winning 2 back to back ucls it would be a big signing. Lee Kang is close to joining Atletico but if leao is going he could of been a smart signing too.

    1. We all know about Icardi. Benzema gets more per season than the whole Milan team put together. Lewandowski won’t sign 1 year only and won’t play in Europe for a team out of CL. He just got offered 15million a year plus 5 bonus from Chicago Fire and the owners would set up his wife’s business in the US and Goretzka is moving as well. Don’t think we can compete with that. Especially now we took a free coach that no one wants.

  2. Maignan- ANTONIO SILVA, Gabbia, Pavlovic- Saelemaekers, HJULMAND, Rabiot, ITALIAN-
    KANG-IN LEE, Pulisic- RAMOS;

    Terracciano, Bondo, Comotto/Zeroli,

  3. As new attacker for milan why not try buzukolu balentropu from greece or ali el xahmed from ethiopia or jack sharp from the uk or silvino de licca peruni from brazil or cim bum sup from korea or ahmed bur delubi from egypt or lars leegulin from sweden or goleen van der bum from the netherlands or hansi luberstok from germany? They are ALL excellent players.
