CorSport: Ibrahimovic dictates terms for potential Milan return – the latest

A potential return to AC Milan for Zlatan Ibrahimovic has gathered another new wave of momentum, with several papers writing about the possibility in the last couple of days.

This morning’s Corriere dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) is no exception as they address situation regarding the possible comeback of Zlatan. For over two months the Milan management have been talking with the Swede search of a solution, with repeated meetings too.

Ibrahimovic has already met Gerry Cardinale – the owner of Milan – twice, then the CEO Giorgio Furlani and the president Paolo Scaroni at different times in the past weeks. Milan believe having him back would be important to help support the coach Stefano Pioli and the squad.

However, the paper adds that Zlatan has not yet released his reservations. The fact remains that he stopped playing just five months ago and wants to enjoy a break after a long and successful career.

The 41-year-old is calmly evaluating what to do in the future, also because he has many entrepreneurial activities that he is now following personally. Milan did not impose a ‘deadline’ on Ibra, obviously, but hope to receive a response from him as soon as possible.

In what role could Ibrahimovic return? CorSport add that he would only accept an operational role, where he can decide and have his say on every aspect of the team, rather than just being a symbolic figure.

Ibra will not accept a return to Milan without putting his all into it, and on this aspect there are still many points to clarify. The Rossoneri are available to talk about anything to welcome him back home.
