CorSport: Ibrahimovic has a personal target in mind as his recovery continues

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are eagerly awaiting the return of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the Swede has a target in mind for his recovery, a report claims.

Ibrahimović underwent arthroscopic surgery of the left knee at a hospital in Rome earlier in the summer after the striker damaged his knee in Milan’s win over Juventus, which sparked fears as to whether he could be set for another long spell away from the game.

This morning’s edition of il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) writes that Ibrahimovic has not yet started working with the team on the field at Milanello, but he is doing a personalised programme including exercises to regain strength in the affected area.

The recovery of the 39-year-old proceeds without haste and external pressure, considering the presence of a very capable striker like Olivier Giroud. Ibrahimovic has a goal in mind: he would like to be in top condition for the first Champions League match in mid-September.
