CorSport: Inter the latest team to join race for €60m-rated Milan and Liverpool target

By Oliver Fisher -

Inter have joined AC Milan and Liverpool in the race to sign Lille star Victor Osimhen this summer, according to a report.

The same outlet recently reported that Osimhen has ended up back in the sights of Milan as they look to potentially replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic with a young forward with high potential, as is the vision of owners Elliott Management moving forward.

The Nigeria international also continues to be linked with a move to Liverpool, and the Express reported on Tuesday that they have begun talks with his representatives over a switch to Anfield, but that the Ligue 1 club want €60m to even come to the negotiating table.

According to il Corriere dello Sport on Wednesday (via Calciomercato), Inter have become the latest team to show an interest in signing Osimhen as they look to reinforce their forward department.

The Nerazzurri have been linked with a number of strikers including the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Dries Mertens and Olivier Giroud amid doubts over the future of Lautaro Martinez, but it seems a new name is now in their viewfinder.

Osimhen has scored 13 goals and added five assists in 27 games this season for the Ligue 1 side, and interestingly was signed to replace Rafael Leao, who joined Milan last summer.
