CorSport director: Juventus outcast Chiesa ‘for sure’ wants Milan or Inter move

By Oliver Fisher -

The director of Corriere dello Sport has claimed that Federico Chiesa is hoping for AC Milan or Inter to come forward before the end of the window and rescue him from his Juventus nightmare.

The fall-out between Chiesa and Juventus has been quite public, with new head coach Thiago Motta and the sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli making it clear that the forward is not considered part of their plans and even excluding him from squads.

Speaking on Mediaset networks, the director of Corriere dello Sport and well-known TV personality Ivan Zazzaroni was asked about what the future might hold for Chiesa between now and the end of the window.

“I’d sign him tomorrow morning, I know for sure that he would like Inter or Milan. Let’s not underestimate the fact that whoever made this choice is not a fool. If Giuntoli exposes himself in that way it’s because he has something in mind,” he said.

As Calciomercato.com go on to state, Inter and Milan are in fact two clubs to which the player was proposed by his entourage, but at present both sides are evaluating the move only on a free transfer at the end of the current season. The last week of the mercato will be decisive.

      1. To be honest I wouldn’t be too surprised if that were to happen as Inter has established an irritating habbit over the years buying players I would love to see in AC Milan.

        1. Buying, or stealing? ShInter was always a club looking steal grom others on cheap. There are rumours that Juve found out that Chiesa had a secret agreement with ShInter to join them next year for free. Oh well, that didn’t go well. I think Juve did the right thing, as they could have ended up with a Calhanoglu 2.0 scenario

    1. Chiesa is going to Inter, Bergomi admitted the same to DiCanio on live tv.

I don’t understand why Fonseca tried to reinvent the wheel against Torino, Milan need a strong 3 man midfield Fofan Benecer/RLC and Rijanders, we don’t need a number 10, most of the modern successful teams don’t, we have Leao who can do everything a n10 does and like most n10’s he doesn’t track back and if you have 2 luxury players you put the balance of the team at risk.

Pulsic got his career back on track and posted the numbers he did at right wing, why tamper with that, what has Chuck done to warrant a starting berth same for Salesmeekers.

Fonseca should play to Milan’s strengths, target man up front, pacy wingers and a strong physical midfield with Rijnders finding the pockets of space.

      1. Most of his movement and goals didn’t come from him being a winger. So moving him to the middle makes a lot of sense, he is more of a second striker and that is how he played a lot last year. He would work best in a 2 attack pair with Giroud or Morata now. Closer to Lautaro for example than Doku or Leao. He also combines well in tight spaces, but can’t get dribble past a tree. It is pretty reasonable to put that type of player to run straight at goal and try to get him into more shooting positions…

      2. Before he joined us he had almost played as much in that position than on the wings and statistically speaking in regard of outcome pr minute he was most prolific there so its not really an experiment and a lot of us actually hoped that he would already have been fielded there last year and then chukwueze on the right wing..

  1. Omfg. They can a make a million news about this..chiesa isn’t coming to Milan. And inter won’t buy him either.
Roma is more or less the only option in Italy, after they offload Dybala.

Dude has himself to blame. Asking for a ridiculous salary. Isn’t even that good a player

  2. If Pulisic is moving into the nr 10 role I think Milan is definitely missing a quality right winger at the moment. We do ‘t know if Chuk will find his feet this season of not, so I think Chiesa does provide something we need, and at a cheaper price than any other players on his level

    1. Chuck is good against more open defenses. Seria A he struggles as most teams that sit back. He needs room to be able to run and move. Serie A doesn’t typically allow that.

      1. This is what I’ve been saying. Looks like he’s not built for Serie A. Sure, he can perform great on several games on UCL here and there, or when we face more attacking teams. But I just can’t see he performing week in week out.

  3. i disagree with you on chuku, pulisic is not returning the favor chuku has in him.

play liberalli with chuku and you will see chuku has talents.

pulisic is focus on leao bond because leao has already a certified world class.

liberalli knows ckuku qualities because they are both on their way to being a protagonist.

my take is Fonseca use sales as RW if he plans to use puli in AM and he can use chuku if he plan to use a more creative approach which is liberalli as AM

  4. Would be suicidal for Inter to get him. Inter already been operating on credit cards. They could change owners another 10 times, they would still be deep in debt.

  5. Liberali as AM now? He sure has a great future ahead of him if he can keep up but let’s not try to burn him this early. Give him time to grow by giving him some minutes.
I would take Chiesa if his salary demand is not too high, but if he accepts 5M+ bonuses on performance I would not hesitate. He’s one of the best Italian talents we actually have. He would bring quality on the right wing. Chukweze needs to show way more than what he’s doing to be a starter at the RW position. We can’t rely on his
With Chiesa, if he comes, my starting XI would be:
    M. Maignan
    E. Royal Tomori Pavlovic T. Hernandez

    Reijnders Fofana

    Chiesa Pulisic Leao

    Morata
