CorSport: Juventus join Milan in pursuit of Chelsea midfielder as Locatelli alternative

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan face competition from rivals Juventus in the race to land Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, according to a report.

This morning’s edition of il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanLive) reports that Milan are interested in securing the return of Bakyoko after his impressive loan spell at San Siro in the 2018-19 campaign, but he is also an idea for Juventus.

The Bianconeri are obliged to strengthen the midfield and in case of non-arrival of Manuel Locatelli, the former Napoli man could become the number one target. Milan meanwhile are in no rush, because Tommaso Pobega is showing he could occupy the fourth midfielder role if needed.

Against Nice he was the author of a good performance and the next two friendlies against Valencia and Real Madrid will be useful to understand if the 22-year-old will remain or whether a new reinforcement for the midfield will be needed.
