CorSport: Lazio in pole position to land out-of-contract Milan midfielder – the details

By Isak Möller -

After six years at the club, Giacomo Bonaventura’s ready to part ways with AC Milan. His contract will expire at the end of this season and the Rossoneri have no intention of renewing it.

According to a report from Corriere Dello Sport, as cited by MilanNews.it, Lazio are in pole position to secure Bonaventura. The midfielder managed to provide an assist in the game against the Biancocelesti, showing his qualities in the 3-0 win.

As previously reported by Tuttosport (via Milanlive.it), Lazio are ready to accelerate the negotiations and there was even an informal exchange of words between Bonaventura and the Lazio management after Saturday’s game.

The former Atalanta man is expected to play from the first minute tomorrow, with Milan taking on Juventus at the San Siro. As Lazio most likely will watch the game – due to the Scudetto race – it will be another opportunity for the No.5 to showcase himself.
