CorSport: Lazio president Lotito wanted Milan game to be replayed – the situation

By Oliver Fisher -

There has been an outpouring of anger from Lazio after their defeat against AC Milan on Friday, a game which they ended with eight men after three red cards.

PianetaMilan recall that Lazio president Claudio Lotito spoke at the end of the game to express his frustration with what he believes were some big errors from the referee Marco Di Bello.

According to what was reported by Il Corriere dello Sport, Lotito was thinking of turning to Coni, the FIGC, the Ministry of Sport, the Government, parliamentary questions and the judiciary to try and get the game replaying.

Speaking with the lawyer Gentile, Lotito tried to understand if there were the conditions to request a replay of the match between Lazio and Milan due to a refereeing error on the penalty not awarded to Castellanos.

However, he was informed that this was not an option to the absence of the appropriate requirements. The controversies over Di Bello’s management therefore continue, but Lazio’s conduct during the closing stages and at full-time remains the big talking point.

Luca Pellegrini was shown a second yellow card for a foul on Christian Pulisic when he was trying to let the ball run out, then Adam Marusic was sent off for something he said to the referee and Matteo Guendouzi also got a straight red for lashing out at Pulisic.

  1. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

  2. I believe this guy hates Milan more than he (presumably) hates AS Roma. Even last season he bragged about they qualified to UCL as second place in League and without any “help” from Juve’s point deduction, to point out how Milan qualified. But somehow I am entertained by him and his stupid comments.

    1. Well, Lazio are in the CL and beat Bayern (no team did that for over a decade against them in CL in this stage and they out of a group with Wins only) with a real chance of going through and Milan dropped down to EL.

So I think you might wanna practice thinking too before you speak.

      1. You are the one who needs to think we’ll and understand the points people are driving at before commenctng with insults, @FM Kessel was not talking about whether Lazio was doing better than us but simply stated the fact that Lazio boss picks Milan as a bigger rival than even Roma that was meant to be focused on, he even goes out of his way to try and diss Milan whenever he has the chance.

      2. Yeah, I totally wish we could trade places with Lazio. Such a successful club. Totally justified in trash talking, since they’re always fighting for the title and CL. /s

      3. Great brag. The absolute luckies UCL group campaign in the history of football.
You’re getting smacked by Bayern in few days, make sure you enjoy it while it lasts.

      4. A day of Milan’s history equals to the entire history of Lazio, so please think twice before making comparisons.

      5. Burky, this isn’t strong Bayern at the moment. Since Lewi left they haven’t been the same. You’re talking like they’re about to win the UCL. They got in a lucky group, you think they’d do better than Milan in the group we were at?

  3. Milan were lucky last season and are still trying to be lucky this season, I hope Pioli will not drag us to conference league before he is sacked!
