A number of sources this morning are relaying bad news regarding the condition of Rafael Leao in view of the two crucial upcoming games against Fiorentina and Borussia Dortmund.
This morning’s edition of Corriere dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) recalls that Leao was back at Milanello yesterday to resume treatment on his muscle problem after a few days of rest. The aim is simple: to get rid of the hamstring injury he suffered at the start of Lecce-Milan as soon as possible.
The winger is working to get back on the pitch and help the team in a difficult phase of the season, but the chances of him returning to the field for the game against Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday 28 November are now declining.
Leao’s absence for the match against BVB is almost certain, as it would need a quick recovery to get him out on the field at Milanello in enough time to build up fitness for the game.
Milan, therefore, will be without their biggest weapon in arguably the biggest game of the season so far, proving that they cannot find peace with injuries this season.
