For Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara, there is no room to escape from AC Milan in this delicate and chaotic period. Despite the air of revolution within the club, the two directors decided to remain for now.
As Corriere Dello Sport highlights (via Milanlive.it), the sacking of Zvone Boban seemed to be the start of Maldini and Massara’s departures as well. The two didn’t attend the Rossoneri’s clash against Genoa, as well as the training sessions last week.
The choices of Ivan Gazidis don’t seem to convince Maldini for next season, but the former Rossoneri captain has no intentions of giving up now. Per the newspaper, the idea is to stay close to the team, especially in this tough situation.
As for his and Massara’s future, a decision will be taken at the end of the season, waiting to understand what the outcome of the season will be. The relationship with Gazidis and Elliott hasn’t ruptured completely, and now there are other enemies to battle.
