CorSport: Maldini has a plan to ensure Milan beat Man Utd, Leverkusen in race for €25m man

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are hoping that the player’s will could help lower Barcelona’s asking price for Jean-Clair Todibo, according to a report.

Milan and Barcelona have been talking about a deal for Todibo for some time, but for the moment there is still a distance between the offer and the request with Manchester United and Everton seemingly lurking – among others.

Tuttosport (via MilanNews.it) reported earlier on Friday that Milan have not yet managed to strike a deal with Barcelona just yet as the Catalan side are asking for €25m.

According to il Corriere dello Sport – as cited by MilanNews.it – Paolo Maldini will now turn his attention to convincing Todibo to join after obtaining the signature of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The Rossoneri value the Frenchman at €15m compared to the Blaugrana’s price of €25m Blaugrana, but reaching an agreement with the defender could allow Maldini and Boban to force the hand of Barca.

Furthermore, Bayer Leverkusen are very interested in the teenager and could make their move soon, so it is a race against time for the Milan hierarchy.
