CorSport: Milan and Lazio both admirers of €25-30m Chelsea midfielder

Another report has emerged suggesting that Ruben Loftus-Cheek is a transfer target for AC Milan ahead of the summer transfer window.

According to Corriere dello Sport (via PianetaMilan), both Milan and Lazio are keen on signing Loftus-Cheek, with the Rossoneri in particular keen on signing a player with those characteristics for the midfield department.

Franck Kessié – who went to Barcelona on a free transfer a year ago – was never replaced and it has left the midfield looking weaker, so the Englishman could come in to bring some physicality and some added quality in build-up play.

Lazio are also keen, but it remains to be seen if Maurizio Sarri will still be the coach, if Igli Tare will still be the sporting director and if Claudio Lotito will sell Sergej Milinković- Savić, whose contract due to expire in just over twelve months will not be renewed.

If he does leave then the Biancocelesti would focus concretely on Loftus-Cheek, who Maurizio Sarri likes a lot and who also has a deal that expires in June 2024.

Despite having just over 12 months left on his deal, Chelsea are expected to ask for €25-30m for a player who has played 30 games this season across the Premier League (22), Champions League (seven) and League Cup (one).

  1. This guy would be ideal for us. I am a big fan of his play and he would immediately solve our CDM problem and together with Tonali and Bennacer the midfield will be alot stronger and more technical.

    1. What is he good at be honest? He’s the middest of the mid the guy shows up in the dictionary when you look up the word average

      1. Come on bro, the guy is a modern box to box type of player who has a good pysique, able to control games, his abilty to beat defenders and find pocket of space which leads to him being a attacking threat. All of this combined makes the player much interesting for us to have since we are in dire need of a player of this calibre. He is also versitile enough to sit deeper as a CDM.
Do you think Krunic or Pobega will be able to carry us next season?

  2. The last thing we need is a clueless muscle on the pitch, unless we are getting rid of Pobega or Krunic
