CorSport: Milan and Man Utd pushing for €35m Italy international but Inter remain confident

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan and Manchester United are both keen on signing Sandro Tonali but Inter remain confident of getting the deal done, a report claims.

Tonali – who is a boyhood Milan fan and idolised Gennaro Gattuso growing up – has been persistently linked with a move to the Rossoneri, who are in need of midfield reinforcements this summer.

The 20-year-old Tonali is already an Italy international and is expected to move on from Brescia this summer following their relegation to Serie B, with a number of big clubs linked.

According to Thursday’s edition of il Corriere dello Sport (via Calciomercato.com), Inter are still optimistic about closing a deal for Tonali and are one step away from doing so.

They have reached an agreement on the basis of a loan with obligation to buy in a deal costing a total of €35m. However, the paper adds that Milan and Manchester United have not given up just yet and could launch their own attempt to sign him.
