CorSport: Milan and Pioli have full confidence in Tonali – the formula and cost of his signing

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have no doubts about using their option to buy and making Sandro Tonali a permanent signing this summer, a report claims.

Tonali arrived last summer from Brescia as the Rossoneri swooped to beat city rivals Inter to his signature, and it was reported by a number of sources that Milan will pay a €10million loan fee for the midfielder, with a €15m option to buy plus €10m in potential bonuses. There, if he signs permanently it will be a €25m deal at least, potentially rising to €35m.

According to this morning’s edition of il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), Milan have no doubts about using their option to sign Tonali permanently from Brescia. They confirm that the formula is indeed a €10m paid loan with a €15m option plus €10m in bonuses linked to personal and team targets. Despite some difficulties in his first season at Milan, the club and the coach have full confidence in Tonali.
