CorSport: Milan looking to beat Barcelona to the signing of Real Betis defender

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan are attempting to beat Barcelona to the signing of Real Betis defender Juan Miranda at the end of the season on a free transfer, a report claims.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport (via Pianeta Milan), the Rossoneri are very keen to ensure that they acquire a backup for Theo Hernadez at left-back and Miranda seems to be a favoured choice.

The Spaniard is going to be out of contract with Real Betis at the end of this season, but his former club Barcelona are also said to be very keen on signing him.

There, he would become the backup for Alejandro Balde so the deal with playing time is similar at both clubs.

There is a chance that Milan will try to sign him in January with an offer of €3-4 million, which would then leave to the loan of Davide Bartesaghi as he would not be needed.
