CorSport: Milan could consider move for Inter outcast as midfield search continues

By Isak Möller -

Although Milan have secured the services of Sandro Tonali, they aren’t satisfied just yet with their midfield. In fact, they want to bring in one more midfielder and an Inter player has reappeared on their radar.

In January, the Rossoneri were linked with Matias Vecino as part of potential swap deal involving Franck Kessie. The Uruguayan is now back in fashion, as Corriere Dello Sport reveals (via Milanlive.it), and Milan could decide to make a move.

Vecino is not included in Antonio Conte’s project for next season and Inter are thus looking to offload him before the market closes in October. The farewell is, in fact, inevitable as reported by the newspaper.

The negotiations with Chelsea over Tiemoue Bakayoko have slowed down, although the Frenchman remains the favourite for Milan. Boubakary Soumare of Lille is one of the alternatives, just as Vecino, and it remains to be seen who will arrive.
