CorSport: Milan eye Celtic, PSG duo as they look to secure new Romagnoli partner

By Isak Möller -

As the youth revolution is imminent, AC Milan are looking for a centre-back to partner Alessio Romagnoli with. Simon Kjaer and Mateo Musacchio are ageing fast and Ralf Rangnick has set his eyes on two players.

According to today’s edition of Corriere Dello Sport, as cited by MilanNews.it, they are Paris Saint-Germain Tanguy Kouassi and Celtic’s Kristoffer Ajer. Both have been heavily linked with the club and the interest is indeed concrete.

Per SempreMilan.com’s Vito Angele, Milan have put a five-year contract on the table for Kouassi, worth around €1.2m per year plus bonuses (read here). The defender is intrigued by the project, offered the opportunity to play consistent first-team football.

For Ajer, as the newspaper states, the track is a bit more complicated. Celtic have slapped a price tag of €20m on the Norweigan and several clubs are interested in his services. Milan are monitoring both players with great interest, studying their next move.
