CorSport: Milan eye Porto ‘all-rounder’ to strengthen the midfield – the situation

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan are expected to make some reinforcements in the summer after what has been a disappointing season in the league. A port midfielder has ended up on their radar, a report claims.

Milan are looking to strengthen the midfielder as Stefano Pioli feels the club never really replaced Franck Kessie, who left on a free transfer ahead of this season. According to Corriere Dello Sport (via SempreMilan.it), Marko Grujic is on their radar.

The 27-year-old joined Porto on a permanent basis (after a loan spell) ahead of this season and he has done quite well. He’s tall and very strong, making him a good defensive midfielder that also has the ability to push up when needed, thus called an ‘all-rounder’.

He’s experienced on the big stage and could thus be a good fit for Milan. However, his contract will expire in 2026 and that means the Rossoneri’s won’t have much leverage in the negotiations. It also hinges on Milan’s UCL qualification, which is at risk currently.
