As Hakan Calhanoglu could leave at the end of the month, Milan are evaluating several players for the No.10 role. Rodrigo De Paul seems to be the dream signing, but there are some alternatives if they can’t get him.
According to Corriere Dello Sport (via MilanNews), De Paul is indeed the Rossoneri first choice for the position but the negotiations with Udinese are very tough. The price tag is believed to be around €40m and that is a significant amount.
Therefore, in order to be prepared, Milan also have a few other names on their wish list. Two of them are Papu Gomez and Josip Ilicic: two very experienced players that know Serie A and how to be decisive.
Gomez left Atalanta for Sevilla in January but could perhaps say yes to a return to Italy already this summer. As for Ilicic, his arrival would only be possible at a low cost, which it’s uncertain if Atalanta would accept.
