CorSport: Milan hoping to have Roma defender for Sampdoria game after sealing €5.5m deal

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are closing in on being able to welcome Roma defender Alessandro Florenzi into their ranks, according to a report.

According to this morning’s edition of il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanLive), Milan and Roma seem to have come very close to finding an agreement over Florenzi who has been pushing to join the Rossoneri for the last few days, keen to start a new adventure but stay in his home country.

Roma have agreed to sell Florenzi on loan with an option to buy and not an obligation to buy, but there is a new condition. The Giallorossi have asked Milan for a paid loan – which Milan will spend around €1.5m for – and then the option to buy will be set at around €4m, therefore a total transaction of around €5.5m could take place.

There is optimism the deal can be closed in a short time and that Florenzi could be available for the opening game against Sampdoria in six days.
