CorSport: Milan identify €15m man to complement Morata – player says yes

It has been Alvaro Morata’s week, but AC Milan are hoping that he will soon be able to shake hands with another striker that he will share the department with.

According to Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) Niclas Fullkrug is the number one candidate to join Morata and he is coming off an excellent first year at Borussia Dortmund which ended in the Champions League final.

The year before he was the top scorer in the Bundesliga at Werder Bremen and this summer he took part in the European Championship with Germany, scoring two goals. However, he looks set to leave BVB for two key reasons.

Firstly Borussia changed coach and Edin Terzic was replaced with Nuri Sahin, but then the real spanner in the works is represented by the signing of Serhou Guirassy, who was signed from Stuttgart and looks certain to be their starter.

Asone door closes and another opens, and the door to Milan has indeed flung ajar. The management prefer him to Tammy Abraham of Roma because he is more functional to Fonseca’s game and above all less expensive.

Dortmund are asking for around €15m for the German to leave while the Giallorossi want at least €25m for the Englishman. What is more important, however, is Fullkrug’s will: he wants to join Milan, and negotiations could therefore move quickly in the coming days.
