CorSport: Milan and Inter send delegation to Saudi Arabia for Supercup logistics

By Isak Möller -

The Supercoppa Italiana between AC Milan and Inter will take place in January next year. Saudi Arabia has been confirmed as the location and the two clubs have sent a delegation to the country.

Being the champions, Milan will take on Inter (who won the Coppa Italia) in the 2022/23 Supercoppa Italiana. The clash will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and the two clubs are now preparing for it logistically.

According to Corriere Dello Sport (via SempreMilan.it), a delegation from Milan and Inter has departed for Saudi Arabia. The logistical questions they have will be answered and the kick-off time will also be discussed.

Milan and Inter want to avoid an 18:00 CET kick-off, hoping to get the primary slot for Mediaset (the broadcaster) which would be 21:00 CET. That would mean that the game would kick off at 22:00 local time.

It’s another opportunity for Milan to beat Inter, but for now the focus will have to be on the league and the Champions League group stage.

  1. Hi! Random topic, sorry.

Was wondering if anyone knows where to buy tickets for Milan games (I know there’s the official website, is that the way to go?) and if someone knows a good and “cheap” hotel just for a couple of nights somewhat near the stadium.

Also, do you have any preference of where to be seated when buying tickets? If so, lemme know.

    Thanks in advance!

    1. I bought my tickets directly through the acmilan website the few games I went. I generally choose to sit next to the curva offering me a good view of the pitch while allowing me to feel the energy from the curva itself. Cost of tickets and opposition dictated where I sat as well as the costs of the derby were much higher than a match against Fiorentina.

As far as hotel, I choose location over price so cannot comment on “cheap”. As long as you are near a major metro line you should be able to access everything anyway. Time of year has a huge impact on accommodation pricing as well so what may be cheap in January may be pricy in May. Hope this helps and have a great trip!

      1. Cheers mate, my girlfriend actually suprised me with tickets to Italy to either watch Chelsea or Juventus during our stay.

Never been to a Milan game and I’ve been a fan for over 23 years.

Really appreciate your thoughts and recommendations. All the best!

    2. I wouldn’t book the hotel in San Siro area. I’ve been there 5 times and every time was at least a few metro stations away from the area and traveled to the stadium with the metro & buses. San Siro area is not as “tourist friendly” as other locations. Plus you can get hotels with good price value elsewhere.
