AC Milan are seeking opportunities to reinforce their squad ahead of next season while paying attention to the budget, and two potential opportunities have reportedly emerged.
According to this morning’s edition of Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), there are two names from the Premier League that seem to have attracted the intrigue of directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara.
The first is Kyle Walker of Manchester City. The defender – who can play centre-back or right-back – is one of the undisputed leaders in the dressing room, but he has been playing less recently and he has have been offered to the Rossoneri by his entourage.
He is 32 years old and has experience at the highest level, while the fact that he has a contract which expires in June 2024 means this could be the last summer where City recoup a fee for the Englishman.
The other name mentioned by the paper is Naby Keita, who has struggled with injury since his big-money move from RB Leipzig and now seems to have no part in Jurgen Klopp’s plans.
The 28-year-old will be out of contract at the end of the season and therefore could arrive on a free transfer, while the idea of a move to Italy to restart his career seems to be a tempting one.
