AC Milan have put Jonathan David at the top of their wish list for the No.9 role, hoping to use their good relations with Lille. The Rossoneri will not back down despite the initial €50m demand, a report claims.
David has been linked with Milan for a very long time, it should be noted, but now the time has come for the Rossoneri to make a serious attempt. Olivier Giroud isn’t getting any younger and a new striker will be needed for next season.
According to Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), Milan are hoping to use their good relationship with Lille who, however, have slapped an initial price tag of €50m on the player. Knowing that his contract will expire in 2025, Gorgio Furlani is hoping to negotiate a better deal.
Mehdi Taremi is still an option for the club as well, given that his contract with Porto will expire in the summer, but he’s more of an alternative to David. It’s believed that Inter also are monitoring the Iranian international, though, which could complicate things.
Leave the way free for Inter on Taremi otherwise they’ll want David too – Monkey see, monkey want
They need to sold first if they want to buy him
I don’t think Jonathan David is suit to replace Giroud. They have very big different in playing style. I think it’s better to have Charles De Ketelaere to be the Giroud’s replacement.
CDK did well at Atalanta. Hopefully will back to AC Milan stronger and don’t go to Atalanta.
Bro, have you actually seen him play? He’s not doing that well. Gets subbed off every game. He even scored an own goal last match. You think CDK has a similar playing style to Giroud? What are you smoking, because I want some. CDK is a second striker. This is why he is doing marginally better with Atalanta than with us. They play with two strikers, one in the second striker/support striker role. We play with one striker and two wingers. CDK is not a winger and not a trequartista. Forget CDK. Take the money and run.
I thought CDK was a raumdeuter when we first signed him, like players with high iq who are able to find spaces in between defenses etc. But he is not an intelligent player. I don’t know why there were comparisons with KDB and Kaka in the first place.
Bruh talking about different style with giroud and bruh want CdK
CDK as a lone striker? LOL!! Some ideas are doomed but this one is beyond that. More chance of hell freezing over than CDK making it as a #9.
Get Folarin Balogun from Monaco. He’s way better than Jonathan David and a pure striker
Pavlidus would be under 20M and is better
Not anymore, he would have costed 15-20M this season. Next season Alkmaar would ask for min 40M for him considering his form.
We’re willing to pay 50M for David…
Contract until 2025…
Sorry, didn’t know that. I messed some details with Santiago Gimenez’s contract. I thought he was under contract until 2027
Happens
P.S. His contract expires in 2025, so as of next summer he will only have 1 year left, meaning the price is going to be better than 40M.
Yeah, mb I overlapped some things in my mind haha.
Fxck no, rather spend 50 mill on Scalvini
Different position bro pls 🤦♂️
We won’t spend that amount on CB. That’s the reality. A star striker maybe, but CB? Hell no.
Especially considering what we paid for Kalulu, Thiaw, and Pellegrino. We have main CB pair thats working wonder right now (Tomori-Thiaw) so unlike when we buy Tomori, we have no urgent need for CB so we wont spend more than 20m for one.
I am not disputing the interest in David. However I believe these articles are propaganda which have little to do with Milan’s ultimate intentions.
Having listed to Fabrizio Romano talk about how he got started and what it is that he does, I think Milan is being used here. Or it is journalists trying to create the link because they’re dumb enough to think it would be a good idea.
For all of the heartache experienced as a result of the measured financial approach taken in the last 5 years, we’re going to break the bank for a guy whose claim to fame is that at 24 years of age, he scored 24 goal in France which comprised 10, yes that’s right 10, penalties?
Please.
