CorSport: Milan may use Pobega to bolster Samardzic bid – the details

AC Milan may offer Tommaso Pobega as part of a deal for Lazar Samardzic to try and make a breakthrough with Udinese in negotiations.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport (via Milan News), the Rossoneri are very keen to sign Samardzic from Udinese but are finding the Friulians difficult to negotiate with at this stage.

In order to make the deal sweeter for Udinese, Milan may throw in Pobega as they value him at around €15m. This way, Milan could part with a player who is not expected to have a major role next season whilst also parting with less cash to sign Samardzic.

Milan have been in contact recently with Samardzic’s father who also works as his agent, and he has been very receptive to the idea of a move to Milan.

Udinese currently want €25m for the Serbian so if there is serious interest in Pobega, Milan may only need to offer the player and €10m to make the deal work.

Milan have only been willing to offer €20m up to this point so the gap between the two sides is not very big.

For that reason, Udinese not wanting Pobega or vice versa would not necessarily be the end of the story.
