CorSport: Milan continue pursuing two Tottenham players – the details

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan would like to add two Tottenham Hotspur players to the squad this summer with Emerson Royal and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg being pursued.

As has been reported by Corriere della Sera (via Milan News), Milan are serious about the two Tottenham players and some progress has already been made to sign one of them.

Emerson has got an agreement with Milan on personal terms but it would take a bid of around €25m for Tottenham to let him leave. The plan is for the Brazilian to compete with Davide Calabria for the starting right-back slot under Paulo Fonseca.

In the midfield, Hojbjerg would provide some more stability and be a very useful rotational option next season. He is currently at Euro 2024 with Denmark so a deal for him will take longer to conclude, with Denmark into the last 16.

He is very keen to play in the Champions League next season, a tournament that Tottenham did not qualify for under Ange Postecoglou. This is not the first time that Hojbjerg has been linked with a move to Milan.

The two made 58 appearances between them last season across all competitions, with Emerson being the only one to score a goal for Spurs.

  1. so they want to “win trophees” and are trying to do that by singing 2 players that have been used to not winning trophees for the last 5 seasons at spurs… makes sence

    1. So Bayern shouldn’t have signed Harry Kane because he hasn’t won any trophies in his career even though he is top 3 striker in the world?
How about Inter signing Hakan who didn’t win jack with Milan in 4 years and since his move to Inter in 3 years he has won 6 trophies?
What kind of a silly logic is that?
