AC Milan remain interested in signing CSKA Moscow playmaker Nikola Vlasic with his club having outlined the conditions, a report claims.
According to il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanLive) this morning, the Croatian attacking midfielder remains one of the most concrete ideas of the Rossoneri management for the role of attack midfielder to replace Hakan Calhanoglu.
He is a profile that is very popular with Stefano Pioli due to his technical and tactical characteristics, and it seems Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara are also convinced that he could be the right player to replace Hakan Calhanoglu.
However, an agreement with CSKA Moscow is not near. Milan had offered a paid loan of €5m with the option to buy at around €20m, a proposal that the Russian club rejected because they value him at €30m and want a permanent deal.
There is an opening to a loan deal, but only with an obligation to buy which is a formula that would guarantee CSKA do not run the risk of seeing Vlasic return to Russia at the end of the season. Milan for now remain firm in their position and there is a stalemate, with no shortage of alternative targets.

Because the club don’t have any more money to spend unless they can secure some outgoings – hence the insistence on ‘loan and buy next year’ deals, which obviously aren’t great terms for the selling club.
It’s possible that the way Milan handled Tonali’s transfer will also make clubs less willing to trade on these terms.

Milan still needs to put pressure on CSKA, of course Milan needs to talk to Vlasic about his salary and for how many years he will sign, so there would be significant pressure on CSKA who will have to sell the player to Milan
