AC Milan are ready to offer midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu a new contract, a report claims, and the player wants to remain at the club.
The Turkey international is currently on a deal which runs until June 2021, meaning the Rossoneri must look to secure his future one way or another before the resumption of the new season.
Calhanoglu became a crucial cog of the Milan machine after lockdown amassing six goals and eight assists in that period, and il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanLive) are reporting that the player wishes to sign a new deal.
The 26-year-old expects an increase in salary from his current €2.5m net per year, and his agent Gordon Stipic has been in contact with Maldini and Massara for some time. The management are likely to propose to keep the current salary but include some bonuses linked to personal and team objectives.
An agreement will be found, because the will to continue is shared by both parties.
