CorSport: Milan ready to sell €28m man to fund move for Lazio target

Lucas Paqueta’s future most likely won’t be at AC Milan. Arriving in January of last year for a €38m fee, the Brazilian has failed to live up to the expectations and thus his valuation has also decreased.

According to today’s edition of Corriere Dello Sport (via Milanlive.it), the Rossoneri don’t want to make a loss on the player and hope to collect €25-28m. Benfica and Fiorentina are interested, but it remains to be seen how much they can offer.

The sale of Paqueta is important for Milan as they could reinvest the money on the transfer market. In fact, they could use it to go after Dominik Szoboszlai, the 19-year-old midfielder who plays for RB Salzburg.

Lazio are also following the player but the ‘Ralf Rangnick card’ could be decisive for Milan, given that the German manager knows him well. It would be a young and talented reinforcement, certainly in line with the Rossoneri’s youth project.
