It has been a very positive start to the season for AC Milan not only in terms of results but also in the integration of the new signings from the summer.
Today’s edition of Il Corriere dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) talks about the work that the management did during the summer mercato, in which 10 new players arrived and some will still have to find space or playing time.
Luka Jovic is still behind in his condition after officially arriving in the last few minutes of the window, while Luka Romero made his debut against Cagliari and the Marco Pellegrino has not yet seen the pitch.
The others all got plenty of playing time, though, and now Milan have a new identity compared to the past with more ready players.
Christian Pulisic and Ruben Loftus-Cheek arrived from Chelsea and are players of international caliber. Tijjani Reijnders, who turned down Barcelona for the Rossoneri, is showing his qualities. Plus there is all the potential of the younger arrivals.
The newspaper also talks about future windows. In January Milan could strengthen themselves further, but with a view to next season they will further improve their squad with a big investment in a striker.
Then get Osihmen
sure it would be a great transfer but i seriously doubt that we would be willing to fork up over 100 mil for a single player so it propably would serve you the best to get that dream out of your head as there is next to no chance for that to happen.
@Martin Bernhard. Anything is possible. Especially if we win the scudetto this season. Milan management might just give the fans a nice gift and get Oshimen.
Like the saying goes never say never. This squad is only missing a top striker to take us to the next level. Kjaer will be sold and Bennacer will be back soon.
We don’t need a DM like most people think. We have Bennacer, Krunic, Musah and Adli for that role.
I am sure we can add another 50m – 60m to the 35m we will get from the sale of CDK. We can pay Napoli 85-90m upfront and the rest over installment for oshimen.
Oshimen is also good friends and teammates with Chukwueze as they both are from Nigeria and it was Oshimen who convinced Chukwueze to join Milan.
So anything is possible and I wouldn’t be surprised if Milan make a move for him.
From sale of De Ketelaere you will get only 1 million of capital gain. De Ketelaere was bought for more than 35 million.
It is not logical for Milan to spend 100 million on striker.
If De Ketelaere was bought for nearly 40, than max 50 Milan will invest in 1 striker.
And club might need new central defender. It all depends about this season result.
Sorry for the late reply but i whent out and got drunk and has just awoken 😀
Well eveything is possible il give you that but personaly i think theres a better option that we pick up mbappe on a free transfer than buying oshimen which i already think is pretty unlikely to happen.
Kjær wont be sold as his contract is expiring next summer but wouldnt be too surprised if his contract is extended with 1 year.
As milanello point oout below it wouldnt be that logical for us to spend such an ammount on one player because that goes completely against the modus operandi that the club acts with. For example we spead our investments in fairly small ammounts which also makes the risks of transfer failure far more limited because lets say we bought oshimen for 100+mil and the player gets a serious injury then the investment is up in the air so i find it highly unlikely we would make such dig into our wallet for any player. Id love us to sign him though,
