CorSport: Milan drop pursuit of Ziyech but resume talks over Chelsea teammate

By Isak Möller -

Hakim Ziyech no longer seems to be a concrete target for AC Milan, who aren’t willing to satisfy the winger’s salary demands. They are still interested in one of his Chelsea teammates, though, as a report claims.

Milan have been linked with Ziyech quite heavily as of late but in the last few days, it has filtered that the Rossoneri aren’t interested anymore. Per Gazzetta Dello Sport, the salary demand is simply too high especially amid the World Cup success.

Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are still interested in one of Ziyech’s teammates, though, namely Armando Broja. This was reported by Corriere Dello Sport (via MilanNews), stating that Milan are eyeing a Tomori-esque operation for the striker.

Milan are in talks with Chelsea over a loan with an option to buy, per the newspaper, and it remains to be seen if the English side want to secure another forward before letting Broja leave. In any case, the Rossoneri remain interested in the player.
