CorSport: Milan tie up €15m deal and want one more UCL-level addition – the names

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are hoping their patient approach on the market will pay off and they will secure further signings of Champions League calibre.

As il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) reports, an agreement with Chelsea over Tiemoue Bakayoko has been found on the basis of a two-year loan with an option to buy set at €15m. The player is expected in Milan this evening and is ready to start his second spell with the Rossoneri.

Milan are now thinking of a final signing for the midfield and it is likely that he too will be French. Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are looking for a ‘wild card’ – i.e. a tactically versatile player like Yacine Adli of Bordeaux or Romain Faivre of Brest.

For the Bordeaux former it is necessary to try and reach an agreement over the price of the player, but personal terms have already been agreed on in principle between the player and the 21-year-old.

For Faivre, Milan are willing to offer €12m while the Ligue 1 team asks for €15m. The distance is not insurmountable for both players and the management are working to close one of the two as soon as possible.
