CorSport: Milan ready to triple Kalulu’s salary amid recent success – the latest

Pierre Kalulu has been a key player for AC Milan in 2022, filling in for the injured Simon Kjaer alongside Fikayo Tomori. The two have formed an almost unbeatable centre-back pairing and Kalulu is now set for a renewal.

The youngster arrived in the summer of 2020 on a free transfer from Lyon, with Milan paying the €500k compensation fee to the French side. This season has been his breakthrough in the centre of the defence, after starting out as a right-back.

Milan have conceded just nine goals since the start of the year and they owe it to the brilliance of Tomori and Kalulu. As reported by Corriere Dello Sport (via MilanLive), the latter is now set for a significant pay rise.

The 21-year-old, whose contract will expire in 2025, currently earns just €500k per season and his new salary should be tripled, i.e. €1.5m per year. The Rossoneri will also probably add a year to his deal, taking the deadline to 2026.
