CorSport: Milan want new midfield signing to be available for derby vs. Inter

AC Milan are working to complete their midfield department and they want a signing to be integrated in time for the derby against Inter, a report claims.

According to Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) this morning, Milan are pushing full steam ahead to try and sign Jean Onana from Bordeaux as the management to have the player available for the derby on 3 September.

Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara’s target is to close the operation within a few days and also to snatch the player at an advantageous price, but time is running out in the window and Milan must launch the decisive assault for Onana.

There are still alternative options being kept alive such as Aster Vranckx who is not a part of Wolfsburg’s plans, but it is clear now that Milan want Onana to come in and add some much needed depth to a department that currently only boasts Sandro Tonali and Ismael Bennacer as guarantees.
