CorSport: Milan’s attack against Inter should have a Belgian flavour – CDK ready to shine

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s big summer signing was Charles De Ketelaere from Club Brugge and he will get his first taste of the Derby della Madonnina tonight.

As reported today by Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), De Ketelaere will start the game against Inter having started on the bench for the 0-0 draw against Sassuolo on Tuesday. He will take up the position of attacking midfielder as Stefano Pioli will rely on the Belgian who has already shown glimpses of his ability.

A week ago, De Ketelaere made his first start against Bologna in front of more than 70,000 Rossoneri fans, and he did not look too worried or disturbed by the occasions as he provided an assist for Leao’s goal.

Pioli and Milan expect a lot from the flagship of the Rossoneri’s summer mercato, and they hope that he can feed Olivier Giroud who was the hero of the last derby and wants to be the hero again.

De Ketelaere will be joined by Rafael Leao in the attack, with whom the Belgian wants to build chemistry. On the right should be his compatriot Saelemaekers who seems to have the advantage over Messias.

Meanwhile, Divock Origi has disposed of the inflammation that kept him out of the match against Sassuolo and is ready to give his contribution to the game off the bench, so Milan’s attack could have a very Belgian feel.
