CorSport: Milan’s list of realistic playmaker targets down to one – Maldini ponders an offer

AC Milan now have two weeks to find themselves a new attacking midfielder with three names currently on the list, according to a report.

This morning’s edition of il Corriere dello Sport (via NotizieMilan) writes that we are now close to the end of the transfer market with directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara looking for the right attacking midfielder to give Stefano Pioli. The names on the list are Isco of Real Madrid, Nikola Vlasic of CSKA Moscow or Hakim Ziyech of Chelsea.

Isco seems to have convinced Carlo Ancelotti that he deserves to stay and therefore most likely will remain with Los Blancos, while the chances of signing Ziyech have faded for the time being as the Moroccan has shone in preseason but also recently suffered a shoulder injury.

The last on the list is Vlasic, who in recent weeks seemed to be close to Zenit but something has changed. The Croatia international wants to leave Russia and wants Milan but price is an obstacle, though Maldini is eyeing a paid loan with option to buy.
