CorSport: Pioli hoping for resurgence from Theo Hernandez after difficult period

By Oliver Fisher -

For AC Milan to be at their best they need the top version of Theo Hernandez, and it can be argued that he has not been at the previous levels he has hit so far this season.

Milan are coming off a difficult week, with only one point obtained from the three games against Juventus at home, Paris Saint-Germain away and Napoli away, complicating things in the league and in Europe.

Corriere dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) writes that one of the players who has seems a bit tired is Theo Hernandez. The French full-back isn’t playing at the levels we know he is capable of, but why?

Stefano Pioli hopes to have an in-form Theo Hernandez back, but it must be admitted that the left-back is yet to fully get in tune with the new formation which means he has only shone intermittently.

Since joining the Rossoneri shirt he has never scored so little at this point of the season. Against Udinese, however, Theo Hernandez scored last year from a penalty with what was the first goal of the season, so tomorrow’s opponents could provide the necessary spark.

    1. yes all Pioli’s fault, nothing to do with the player ever

If Pioli wasnt here clearly Milan would’ve won every single game so far.

      1. I did already state in several posts that the player has a problem with his temperament times and times again. As for Milan winning every game so far, well it would depend on who they have as a coach.

  1. Theo, Reijnders and Leao can not all attack at the same time. Because we get caught out on possession, Theo hasn’t been going forward as much with with the other two pushing forward as much.

If Pioli tried bringing Musah on the left side, maybe Theo would push forward more.
