CorSport: Predicted Milan XI vs. Roma – Giroud to start in Australia

French striker Olivier Giroud is expected to start against AS Roma on what will be his final appearance for the club before joining LAFC.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via Milan News), Giroud will be playing in a Milan shirt again despite his emotional goodbye to the fans at San Siro on the final day of the Serie A season.

The team will be led by Daniele Bonera as Stefano Pioli is no longer the coach, and Paulo Fonseca has not been officially appointed yet.

Some big names are not available in Australia, such as Christian Pulisic, Rafael Leao and Ismael Bennacer. Mike Maignan is injured and will not play.

Marco Sportiello will be in nets, with a back four consisting of Davide Calabria, Fikayo Tomori, Matteo Gabbia, and Theo Hernandez. With a 4-3-3 expected, there should be a midfield three of Tijjani Reijnders, Yacine Adli and Yunus Msuah.

For the attack, Ruben Loftus-Cheek may be used in a wide role with Noah Okafor on the other flank and Giroud in between them.

After this match, the team will be able to break off for their holidays or the Euros which take place in Germany during June and July this summer.
