CorSport: Pulisic back in Dortmund – he has warned his team-mates about what to expect

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan play Borussia Dortmund for the first time in 21 years tonight, and for Christian Pulisic it will be a strange evening against his old club.

This morning’s Corriere dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) recalls that Pulisic played 127 games for Dortmund, scoring 19 goals and providing 26 assists. He will be welcomed back to Germany in the best way, but he wants to leave with three points.

In the space of a few weeks the American has already become a key player in Stefano Pioli’s side as the starting right winger and the most decisive of the new signings with three league goals and an assist.

During the training session at Milanello yesterday before the team left for Germany, Pulisic helped his team-mates and the technical staff to study Dortmund. He made the team understand what it means to play at the Westfalenstadion, where he returns for the first time as an opponent after the experience as a young man.

The USA international is a player who pays attention to the smallest details, just as Pioli does. During the preparations on the eve of the match, the head coach had the team train with Dortmund fan chants playing over the PA system.
