CorSport: Raiola has advised Donnarumma to join Juventus but there is one issue

By Isak Möller -

Gigio Donnarumma’s contract with Milan will expire at the end of June and it won’t be renewed, as the parties failed to reach an agreement. The Rossoneri, almost instantly, secured the arrival of Mike Maignan from Lille.

The No.99’s adventure with the Rossoneri has thus come to an end and he left with a bang, securing the Champions League return. Having said that, the Milan fans are far from content with his behaviour, especially since he will now leave for free.

According to Corriere Dello Sport (via MilanNews), agent Mino Raiola believes that the best offer has arrived from Juventus. The Dutch-Italian has advised Donnarumma to join the Bianconeri but there is just one problem.

In order to complete the signing, Juventus need to part ways with their current first-choice goalkeeper, namely Wojciech Szczesny. Selling the Polish international is a fundamental part of landing Donnarumma, per the newspaper.

  1. I think he’s making the same mistake Coutinho made when he left for Barcelona.
He’s forgetting the fact that Juve now requires a heavy rebuild just as Barcelona needed. A rebuild is not easy especially for Italian teams because of their limited resources

  2. On the wages Szczesny is on, he won’t have too many suitors – won’t be easy to move on unless Arsenal see him as an option to replace Leno (who wants to leave)
