The arrival of Tijjani Reijnders from AZ Alkmaar was eagerly awaited by AC Milan fans after such a long negotiation, and so far he looks like he could be worth the wait.
Today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) talks about one of Milan’s new additions, namely Reijnders, and what he has shown so far in preseason as Stefano Pioli searches for the right alchemy.
The Dutchman has already shown that he can be the right man to dictate the pace of the whole team. Reijnders in these first outings of preseason has been deployed on the left in a three-man midfield, and from that area of the pitch he has moved the team around.
Milan invested €20m plus bonuses for the 25-year-old and they believe that he will be well worth that money, eventually turning his bright and dynamic plays into assists and possibly goals too.
Reijnders should be an added value for the Rossoneri who often had to deal with physical issues in their midfield, and the fact he played over 50 games last season across all competitions suggests he could be an ever-present for Pioli.
I wish benna wasn’t injured because him with Reijnders and RLC would be a joy to watch
Soon enough.
Probably one of the most technically gifted signings that we have done in years.
Yes, cool, but who cares? He needs to be really useful. Meaning goals, asissts and key passes. Everything else is quite useless in the end…That midfield couldn’t dominate posession against Monza…

Then why were people obsessed over Tonali? 😀
And how does Bennacer fit into that? His stats don’t look good either. 😀
I’m sure everyone will have the same patience they had with tonali in his first year.
For sure, for sure… 😀
I think TJ is going to be our player of the season. Or at least I hope so. Highly underrated. Very smooth. Hope he notches some goals too.
