CorSport: Roma want €35m for Milan target – three counterparts could unlock deal

AS Roma have no intention of giving AC Milan any discounts in their pursuit of Tammy Abraham, a report claims, but they have suggested that three counterparts are welcome.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) this morning, Roma have put Abraham up for sale after signing Artem Dovbyk for the striker position but they are wanting €35m to sell the Englishman given they paid €42m three seasons ago.

Abraham is also ready for a new challenge, having barely played last season due to a serious knee injury. He seems particularly attracted by the idea of joining up with his close friend Fikayo Tomori at Milan, while he also knows Ruben Loftus-Cheek well too.

Milan rightly have no intention of spending so much for a player who would mainly be a deputy to Alvaro Morata and that is why counterparts could be key in lowering the cash sum required and getting the clubs closer to an agreement.

The main idea is Alexis Saelemaekers who was supposed to leave but he convinced Paulo Fonseca in preseason, to the extent that the Portuguese coach has even asked to keep him in the squad. The Giallorossi, though, only value him at €10m.

Among the other names that appeal to Roma is the versatile forward Noah Okafor and right-back Davide Calabria, but their valuations are not mentioned.

  1. 35 mil? Roma paid less for the La Liga top scorer.
And Abraham was injured for a long time and has never been the most clinical striker.
    Pass.

  2. Why are we pursuing him this much? I mean he could be a good signing if we get him on loan or something but their asking price is just ridiculous, I say let them have him on the bench or whatever, they are the ones who should be desperate to get rid of him and not us

    1. I think there is a chance Milan will play again their waiting game… don’t buy him and wait until the end of mercsto for loan with options to buy… I think this will be our way how to capture more players this mercato

  3. If Saele and Okafor are to leave then why really not go for Chiesa. Juventus are ready to sell for as low as 10 millions and we’ll need a backup to Leao. And of course if he’s willing ti play for our salary cap wage of 2.5 millions.

  4. Time to move on from tammy abraham, not worth the price and if we kept colombo he could’ve scored more goals than what’s expected if this guy comes.
Sometimes the data doesn’t reflect the players actual contributions similar to what happened with pellegri and others.

  5. I’m sorry but someone higher must block this move it’s Fonsecas choice. Wasn’t Zlatan a striker and a good one?? Surely he knows Tammy hasn’t got the minerals ffs. Mind the gap…..

  6. In this bs site you have the same story but you make 100″articles” changing the numbers every day.Now if that’s not” journalism” i don’t know what it is…Don’t trust this clowns, those numbers are pulled out their a**.Roma are not that lunatic to ask 35 for a semiflop with glas legs

  7. Then forget about Tammy Abraham, and find another striker for Fonseca.

Why must we accept what Roma asked. Let’s go to second option

  8. 35M euros or lowering it by offer Saelemaekers, Calabria, Okafor ? For a 27 years old striker than even struggled a lot last year ?
    In your dream, Romans.

Saelemaekers valued by Roma 10M euros ? So Tammy Abraham should valued 1M euros only. Because Saelemaekers was played so much better than Tammy Abraham.

  9. 35m for someone that’s probably not in your project, make it make sense now.

I personally will rate Okafor higher than Abraham, unless the managements are stupid

  10. Literally Origi 2.0 and coming off an injury with a high salary and everything… Have we not learned anything from the STD that is Origi?
