CorSport: Roma unwilling to grant Milan a discount on Florenzi’s €4.5m fee

Alessandro Florenzi joined AC Milan ahead of the season on an initial loan deal and as he has done quite well, the Rossoneri are considering buying him permanently. There is a slight issue, though.

It has been known for some weeks now that Milan are willing to sign Florenzi on a permanent basis, but it has also been known that they want a discount. The latest reports suggest that this could be difficult.

According to Corriere Dello Sport (via TMW), Roma aren’t willing to grant any discount for Milan on the €4.5m buy-out clause. This means that the Rossoneri will have to pay the full amount, as agreed upon last summer, if they want Florenzi to stay.

This season, the experienced Italian has made 26 appearances across all competitions for Milan. He has been put to use by Pioli, in other words, both at the back and also as a winger. The next few games could be decisive to convince the club to pay up.
