Maurizio Sarri wants to reinforce his squad with the AC Milan midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek in January, but first, Lazio need to know their transfer verdict.
Lazio and Sarri were unable to strengthen the squad in the summer due to a transfer ban, which was imposed as a result of poor finances. In the coming days, as highlighted by Corriere dello Sport, the Financial Supervisory Commission will deliver its verdict ahead of the January window.

There are three potential outcomes, as the newspaper continues: Ban upheld, a semi-open transfer window and an open transfer window. It seems we are heading towards a semi-open window, which means Lazio would have to sell for the same amount they buy for (one player for another).
Sarri pushing for RLC
According to the newspaper, Lazio and Sarri are eagerly awaiting the verdict and in the meantime, they have identified some targets. Milan midfielder Loftus-Cheek is one of them, as the manager enjoyed a fantastic relationship with the Englishman at Chelsea.

In fact, Sarri ‘dreams’ of signing the midfielder but it could be a difficult operation, depending on what the player wants and how much Milan will ask for. A report yesterday suggested that Loftus-Cheek could consider a move, especially in view of the World Cup.

Swap with Mario Gila
bring Frendrup as a replacement and wait for the 2nd star…
If he wants any sniff of a World Cup place he’ll have to leave. I won’t miss him. I was genuinely excited by what might be when we signed him but he’s been the same player he was at Chelsea but with even less opportunity.
Based off his recent performances he’s already been re-called to the England team!?? Another in-my-own-head RLC article. Didn’t Tuchel recently include him? RLC seems to be Allegri’s first sub option in midfield and can also play in attack. I don’t think he needs to leave to get mins. He’ll get them here. Sarri likes him though, and he probably was at his best with Sarri. Not surprised he would target him. But RLC is clearly in Allegri’s plan because he is so versatile and his recent games have been as good as the rest. Who should Milan get to replace him? I’d rather Milan saved their money and spend it on a decent striker, and another CB. Midfield is full of decent options already.
