AC Milan could reach a very important milestone in their game against Parma tomorrow, making this side the second-best in the club’s history in one aspect.
The 2025-26 season has been a huge success so far, at least when you compare it to the disaster that was 2024-25, and Massimiliano Allegri deserves a lot of praise. Above all, it’s the Rossoneri’s solidity that has taken them to the top of the standings, losing just one game.
Currently, Milan are on 24 games unbeaten (15 wins and 9 draws). The fact that there have been so many draws is certainly a negative, because you ultimately fall behind the best team like that, but at least the unbeaten run has been preserved.
Second-best tally incoming?
As highlighted by today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), Milan could reach a very important milestone tomorrow. In the event of a win or a draw, they would take their unbeaten run up to 25 games, which they have only achieved once in the club’s history (in a single season).

It was back in the 1991-92 season, when Fabio Capello was in charge, that they managed a whopping 34 games without a defeat (i.e. the entire season, becoming invincibles). They had 12 draws then, which is better than the current draw run-rate.
In any case, the above means that Milan could reach 25 league games unbeaten for only the second time in the club’s history. Again, considering just how chaotic last season was, this is definitely commendable.

Thank You for someone being positive and writing about a tramendous success of this rather weak team in my opinion. Next 9 games we need to win and only draw 2 in order to beat that record.
I still believe that Inter will hit the crisis at some point so there is still a chance to even win the scudeto. Having said that in derby we need to beat them
Milan’s highest points tally in Serie A is 86 (in 3 point era) this season its already been better than 99% of the other season, on track to match or even break that
if that still doesnt win the title then not Max’s fault.
Good words, bro!
We knew when Allegri was given the job that we’d see success without seeing very sexy football. He had the same defensive players to work with the previous 3 coaches had but has gotten far better results. The important thing was to stop giving up goals in every single match and stop having to rely on magic to come back from behind every week. The team looks well organized and despite having players in many roles who aren’t outstanding talents the team grinds forward and keeps getting results. They need to keep their best and sign at least two high caliber players this summer to be competitive next season in CL and league.
Not sure about this article. We went 27 games unbeaten under Pioli
That’s between two seasons though, right? This is a single season
Just noticed the paranthesis 👍🏻
Your comment made me realise I needed to add it, so thank you 🙂
No worries! Keep up the great work
I’m all for taking positives wherever you can, but ultimately the unbeaten streak comes with the burden of having tied so many games that should have been won. if just three of the draws against the minnows were wins, we’d be right on inter’s tail, who prove that you don’t have to beat direct opponents to win the Scudetto so long as you beat all the minnows…
