CorSport: Two solutions could get Raiola’s approval on renewal of Donnarumma

By Oliver Fisher -

Agent Mino Raiola wants to insert a conditional release clause into the new contract of AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, a report claims.

The Rossoneri must try and secure the renewal of their star shot stopper sooner rather than later or they risk letting him leave for nothing next year, as his contract expires in 2021, though several reports have filtered optimism regarding the situation.

According to il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), once the renewal is sorted for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, negotiations will begin for the renewal of Donnarumma.

In the last few hours another option has come up to try to find an agreement more quickly, considering that time is running out: Mino Raiola may want to insert a percentage for himself (a sort of commission) on the player’s future sale, as he did with Paul Pogba.

However, this event does not excite Milan. Another option is a release clause that becomes active in the event the Rossoneri do not reach the Champions League, with a €50m figure mentioned.

  1. Martin Bernhard says:

Neither option should be accepted as donnarumma isnt working for raiola and neither are we but the opposite way around. if donnarumma wants to leave because we again miss out on cl qualification then he isnt the right man to keep working with and in no way we should accept to fill up raiolas pockets by adding a % of a future sale price going his direction.

Cant wait for the day when agents operating like raiola gets banned from such practices. Much can be said about mirabelli but atleast he had the guts to not accept his bs. When that is said i obviously hope donnarumma stays for many years to come but now its time to show his loyalty towards the club who gave him playtime in a top league when nobody else propably wouldnt have done so.
