CorTorino: Roma and Atalanta lead the charge for Belotti as Milan’s interest cools – the reason

AC Milan are now a distant idea for Andrea Belotti with regards to being a possible destination, according to a report.

According to this morning’s edition of il Corriere di Torino (via MilanNews), Torino will do everything to convince Belotti to renew his contract, but an exit in the upcoming summer transfer window cannot be ruled out given that his current deal expires in June 2022. Milan have been repeatedly mentioned as a potential destination for Belotti over the last four years now, but in truth he has never really been close to arriving at San Siro.

The hypothesis of joining his boyhood club Milan is now further away because the Rossoneri have decided to move for Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud instead, but Roma and Atalanta are still in the running. That latter are thinking of the Italy international in the event of the sale of Duvan Zapata, while the former could lose Edin Dzeko.
