Alessandro Costacurta is the latest pundit to express his anger at the lack of a red card being awarded on Saturday for a foul on Kyle Walker.
One of the main talking points from the 2-0 win over Empoli came in the first half though when Cacace went with his studs into Walker and was not even given a yellow card for it. The replays showed what looked to be blatant endangering of an opponents, with a high point of contact.
Costacurta spoke on Sky about Cacace’s nasty foul on Walker, for which not even a yellow card was awarded by Luca Pairetto nor did VAR tell him to have a look.
“This is really bad… there’s a real possibility of breaking his ankle. We defenders of older times gave out even worse challenges, so it’s ok. But if Cacace catches him better he’ll break it [his ankle]… let’s not joke, this thing deserves a clear red card,” he said (via MilanNews).
During the press conference to present Joao Felix which took place this afternoon, Zlatan Ibrahimovic made it clear that the club plan to write to the AIA (Italian Referee Association) about the incident, and Fikayo Tomori’s red card.
“I always ask the players to be polite with the referee. At half time I asked the referee to respect the Milan players. I was surprised that the players said nothing because if things go worse for him [Walker] he will be out for a year,” he said.
“Tomori? It is the consequence of when you let the game continue. For us it is not acceptable, we will send a letter to the AIA, it is not an acceptable situation.
“We found ourselves with one man less, while they should have been with 10 for the foul on Walker. Then he comes from the Premier League and does not make a scene. I ask for respect for Milan and for its players.”
Yesterday referee was absolut amateur… He was the worst part of match. I hope he will have a problems and don’t be in seria A until the end of season
It was an obscene, absurd foul, obviously deserving a straight red card.
Yeah watching it back it was so obviously a straight red IMO
The ref should have given a card in Walker’s case, either red or yellow – subject to interpretation. But complaining to the AIA about Tomori’s red card is clownish; it just shows the mentality that turned Milan from a legendary, top club to a mid-table one. Only someone with mental deficiency can claim that Colombo was offside. The evidence is out there for anyone to see that Walker’s open left arm kept Colombo onside.
Sky Sports put out images with the lines drawn. Colombo was offside.
Can you provide a link if an online video exists? All videos and the pic I have seen show that Walker kept Colombo onside.
I saw Sky Sport’s pic. It is not the moment the ball is played to Colombo. Other pics and videos show that when the ball was played to Colombo, he was onside.
Sky Sports are not serious. Even their drawn line is so obviously wrong; it is not parallel to the half way line.
Rich coming from the fan of the whiners club who whine about yellow cards all the time. Pound sand.
I have never approved of Inter’s complaints (though they “don’t whine all the time”). Men win on the pitch and are careful to not get themselves into situations. Kids cry and complain.

LOL. CRY ME A RIVER! Inzaghi is the perfect example of the crying side of Milan. He still can’t do an interview without mentioning the (non-existing) foul on Asslani in the Super Coppa final. Also, several players – especially Crybaby-Barella – are spending half of the time moaning and crying at the refs.
A delusional person believes things that couldn’t possibly be true. If you’re convinced that the microwave is attempting to control your thoughts, you are, sadly, delusional. Delusional comes from a Latin word meaning “deceiving.” So delusional thinking is kind of like deceiving yourself by believing outrageous things.
This is definition of hou and all Inter fans
Then take your self righteousness to SempreInter. I dare you to call Inzaghi out in their blog
I have called him out several times. Where I think that criticism is due, I do it, regardless of the team or the person.
Holly god have Peter open the gates, we have a noble saint in our mist. Good on you for telling Inzaghi to let it go. I’m curious why you didn’t call him a clown with a loser mentality? Because by your own logic he is right?
@Ryan, Football Italia has a YT video of the highlights of the match. Watch the Tomori case with slow motion speed; you will notice that when the ball was played to Colombo, he was clearly onside. Pics don’t show anything if they don’t show exactly the moment the ball was played; with videos you can watch the full situation and check moment when the ball was played.
You are the clown as an arm is not taken into consideration when deciding when someone is offside or not…That should be common knowledge…LOL being so cocky and then not knowing some basic stuff..
That was a reply to Inter fan…
The open arm leaned Walker’s shoulder enough to keep Colombo onside….
Not according to the line drawn on TV, or you are conveniently ignoring that and telling us what you saw
Haha u lead a sad life if u HAVE to comment each day on the forum of your rivals and beg for attention by calling them a small club. That in itself is why your club is a small club with a little brother mentality. Always been a club of unjustified complainers ever since Moratti days. And who tf watches their rivals games against small teams like Empoli. I’d understand if it was vs Juve or Napoli we’re playing. Just change your screen name bro, it’s fine
I dont watch Inter unless they olay Champions keavue final or us. 😂
You dig! Haha we played Empoli and dude has a whole ana.lysis on the match LMAO
If Inter plays Venezia and I watch that (obviously forced to of course), it just means two whole hours of my life I won’t get ever back 😭
This. WTF should any one us watch Inter play??? I’d rather cut my wrists for 90minutes.
Arm is not offside, shoulder would be
You’ve shown that you don’t understand the offsides rule with your own words.
Offside is based on lines drawn based on the position of parts of the body which can play the ball. You’ve claimed that Walker’s arm kept Colombo onside, but an arm cannot keep someone onside.
As has been stated by others, Sky showed both players’ positions with the offside lines drawn, and Colombo was CLEARLY offside.
Best regards!
Read what I said above. I said that Walker’s arm kept Colombo onside, because the open arm caused Walker’s shoulder to lean enough to keep Colombo onside. In other words, per se it was the shoulder that kept Colombo onside, indeed.
Anyways, what happened happened and Tomori should have used his brain more efficiently to avoid such a situation.
Best regards to you as well!
And there is VAR and not even a yellow, this referee should never ever refereeing any Serie A games anymore.
“(…) it just shows the mentality that turned Milan from a legendary, top club to a mid-table one.”
So said an idiot who supports a shi***tty club that is a DWARF compared to Milan, both european and worldwise.
By the way, could someone tell me what this guy is doing here, honestly? Damn…
This forum needs an “ignore”-button so badly…
Bring back Pierluigi Collina.
And Orsato and Rizzoli.
